Message	As Guapo posted yesterday... This weekened the Cimmaron Region of the PCA had their annual 'Mayfest' at Hallett Motor Speedway outside of Tulsa, OK. Not quite sure on the history the the Texas Z gang tagging along for these ... but it's really nice of the Porsche crowd to welcome us for these events. I wasn't able to get the whole weekend off... but I was scheduled to get off duty around 4pm on saturday afternoon. So while I was sitting around in Georgia waiting to load up I look at the weather forcast for the Tulsa area... looks likes it's clearing... Hmmmm.... So after calling Guapo to make sure I could just drive on sunday... I had to fly back to Minneapolis... catch the 4:09 on AA... I get to the apartment by 7:15... unpack.. repack... load up the jack, brake pads, tools, etc... on the road by 8:00 pm and check in to the hotel outside Tulsa at 12:30 am.... Nothing to it! Until the alarm went off at 6:15am where I head off to the track... ugh. Didn't take many pics this time around... and when I did... I discovered the hard way that my camera works better on normal mode... as opposed to the various action modes that are supposed to make better pictures of objects moving... oh well. As for the track time... the Porsche group runs a really well organized event. I got 6 20 minute sessions and could have driven a 7th... but I was exhausted and was already changing out the track pads for the drive home to TX. I was put into the 'white' run group... basically their middle group... not newbie but not fast enough to be in yellow. On one run I would be passed by the whole field.... then the next time out I would not see another car and have a clear track for the whole session... not getting passed felt really good! The the next sesson it was pass Tu time again... then the next I was alone again. Kinda weird... as you have figured out... I was under powered for that run group... So at this time I am taking donations for the "Tu Needs A TT Swap" fund. I accept paypal. Thanks in advance. ;) The Z's from Texas... The garage next to ours. Guapo prepping.
